Re: Electronic Stability Program and Anti-lock Braking System absence of display The vehicle fails to start.
Discovered that the issue lies with the ECU; upon inspection, there were evident indications of dampness and probable short-circuiting. We meticulously cleaned it with contact cleaner and a gentle toothbrush, then let it to dry. Reinstalled and launched promptly! Eliminate all error codes. Regrettab...

Re: Electronic Stability Program and Anti-lock Braking System absence of display The vehicle fails to start.
I have received a diagnosis but am uncertain of its implications. Could anybody provide assistance or suggest potential next steps?

Re: Electronic Stability Program and Anti-lock Braking System absence of display The vehicle fails to start.
Examined the CAN connections and wiring inside the passenger wire loom, disconnected the connectors, and performed contact cleaning without success. Stumped, its going into a garage to be diagnosed in a few days. The vehicle will start if I disconnect the ESP fuse or connection, but it will not enga...

Re: Electronic Stability Program and Anti-lock Braking System absence of display The vehicle fails to start.
Indeed, you may be correct. I will examine the passenger footwell, where I believe the CAN C connection is situated. I previously accessed the footwell to replace the suspension control module for a different problem and am concerned that the wires or connectors may have been damaged. It seems that ...

Re: Electronic Stability Program and Anti-lock Braking System absence of display The vehicle fails to start.
Regarding ABS, I am essentially speculating and anticipating based on my review of many threads, in addition to the numerous ones I have previously examined. I believed the ABS may disable the ignition; but, as you said, that is likely not the case. I will examine the sensors and perhaps clean them ...

Re: Electronic Stability Program and Anti-lock Braking System absence of display The vehicle fails to start.
Indeed, I believe it may also apply to my situation, thus facilitating my access to a tow truck (or even a junk truck). I have perhaps made some progress with it. I suspect that an ABS malfunction is therefore inhibiting the ESP and start authorization. Am I correct in assuming that the ABS will imp...

Electronic Stability Program and Anti-lock Braking System absence of display The vehicle fails to start.
Attempted many solutions, inspected all fuses, and cleaned the wiring and connections for the ECU and ESP. Replaced another ESP ECU, still the issue persists. A friend used a Snap-on Scanner to examine the vehicle and reported a lack of communication with the ABS and ESP systems. Based on my analysi...

Re: W176 220 CDI in limp mode - no error code detected
Recently attached a plug-in scanner (Autolink Autel AL519) used by my workplace for the vehicles; no saved codes detected. I observed, however, that the MAP sensor reading consistently registered at an ideal 100.0 kPa. It remained stable unlike the other sensors. The MAF sensor registered 7.87 g/s, ...

Re: W176 220 CDI in limp mode - no error code detected
I have been use an iPhone application in conjunction with a Bluetooth OBD2 scanner. I was reluctant to pay more, since the pricier options seem to include additional control modules. The performance has improved; it operates more efficiently today, and the engine temperature gauge exhibits less vola...
