For some reason, this suddenly came to me —
In 1926, Daimler Motern Gesselschaft and Benz und Cie, two companies that had been operating independently since 1886, combined to establish Daimler-Benz. (The precise date eludes me at the moment)
This year, 2026, marks the centennial of Daimler-Benz!
Has anyone forgotten? I haven't heard a word about it.
Surely they are aware that the combined company will turn 100 years old this year, and they will celebrate accordingly.

Starting with the year when Carl Benz invented the vehicle, MB operates. In 2011, I drove my E320 cabrio to their 125th anniversary party at Tempelhof Airport in Berlin. The event was a huge success, drawing almost 1800 MB automobiles from all over the globe, primarily from Europe. Over the weekend, people left their cars at the airport, and I myself loved the complimentary food and drink! In 2036, to commemorate the 150th anniversary, I believe we will have another major event.

It would be expected that there would be some type of celebration, yet there has been no mention of it in the media and no MB gatherings scheduled for this particular occasion. Seems like I should attend a nearby car show in case they get the idea.
