Greetings once more, everyone. I possess a 2012 F12 640D that intermittently displays a dashboard warning indicating a drivetrain issue, advising me to proceed at a modest speed and consult service. I have examined the diagnostic codes, but none provide any insights. Any assistance would be appreciated.

If a drivetrain issue is indicated, there will be saved code(s).
What apparatus did you utilise for the scanning process?

The Icarsoft CMAX is reportedly an effective system; nevertheless, the issue may lie with my limited technical proficiency.

Does the vehicle enter limp mode? The power is reduced to a predetermined RPM range, allowing continued operation at a diminished speed.

The vehicle does not enter full limp mode; power is somewhat reduced but sufficient to achieve 70 mph, and acceleration normalises shortly without the need for powering off and resuming.

It appears to be related to the vacuum system; diagnostics will be necessary using a proficient instrument, preferably ISTA, or alternatively, a reliable handheld device equipped with BMW software. What is your location?
