At higher speeds, the arm and blade of my driver's side wiper are gently rubbing on the pillar... Do you have any suggestions for a reason and a solution, please?

There is a plastic cover that can be lifted off the wiper arm at its base. Underneath that, you should find a 10mm nut. To remove the arm, loosen the nut and then replace it by moving the arm a couple of splines clockwise (backwards). If that is too much work, repeat the process but go one spline in the opposite direction. It's that easy!

Seems like you're looking for an answer regarding the car's wiper blades. This has not been an issue for me with my 69-plate D180. When everything is snug, the wiper arm won't fall off the spline, and there's no need to adjust it for typical use.

The nut is tight, and even when I tried to loosen it, the entire unit seemed to move in tandem with the other one... I won't try it again until someone is available to hold the wiper arm.

It may be easier to install new wipers, the right ones, as previously said.

This problem may have just begun if someone else has fitted the incorrect blades, especially if you've had them changed recently.
