Just lately, we received an EV5. Beautiful place, but the doors are a major pain. You can't access the rear compartment unless you use the key or the unlock button located inside the vehicle. That is your sole option if you do not intend to turn off the vehicle. If this continues to happen whenever you turn off the engine, you may want to check the infotainment system for an Auto open feature that allows you to lock and open the door automatically.
