This 2013 A3 sportback with the 63 plate has only had one owner and is in pristine condition.
The driver's door has a dial for folding the mirrors, but unfortunately, it is inoperable. The option to fold the mirrors is not included in the mmi menu that I have checked. I was able to verify the car's specifications using the Audi app and the vehicle identification number; the power fold mirrors were an aftermarket addition. The mirror adjustments, central locking, and windows all function as expected. I can't say for sure since I haven't been chilly enough to test the heated mirror. Please, if you can help me answer this mystery, I promise to be your lifelong buddy (the dial offers the choice again).
I am completely bewildered and might appreciate some assistance.

To lock the vehicle while keeping the key's lock button pushed down for a little longer, try leaving the white line on the centre switch. Keep trying until it works.
The next step is to check the door modules for problems by running a diagnostic scan on the vehicle.

A scan I had done came out empty-handed. The mmi doesn't even display the mirror fold option, which is strange.

The option may not have been installed on the car. The other option would be to take the door card out and inspect the wiring, or take the mirror cap off to inspect it.
